This is a free online event. October 19, 2021 at 0800-1000am North America Pacific time, 1700-1900 Central European and Johannesburg time. |
..For 20 years, Adam Kahane has been writing books that share his reflections and insights from a career working with high-stakes, multi-party social change initiatives. Well known for his books on Solving Tough Problems, Love and Power, Collaborating with the Enemy, and Transformative Scenario Planning, his work is based on personal reflections on how to address some of the thorniest dynamics that stand in the way of addressing some of our biggest global challenges.
Key to these books and reflections is the practice of navigating both/and polarities of practice. With characteristic curiosity about his own experiences, his new book, Facilitating Breakthrough: How to Remove Obstacles, Bridge Differences, and Move Forward Together, provides a grounded theory to the practice of transformative facilitation that helps groups collaborate well in the pursuit of social change. The book offers a fresh perspective on facilitation and a new framework for developing one’s practice.
On October 19th, join Adam, Chris Corrigan, Bhavesh Patel and Sonja Blignaut in a conversation about Adam’s new book. Chris, Bhav and Sonja are experienced facilitation practitioners who bring a complexity lens to their facilitation practice. Together we invite you into a conversation to explore what Adam’s new work offers to the field.
All are welcome!
The session will be held on Zoom, October 19th, 2021 at 0800-1000am North America Pacific time, 1700-1900 Central European and Johannesburg time. You will receive a zoom link at registration.
You can purchase Adam’s book through your favourite local bookstore or online.
